2016 Nobel Peace Prize in Literature Goes to: Bob Dylan

On October 13, 2016 the Swedish Academy, which has been responsible to choosing the annual recipient for the Nobel Prize in Literature, has chosen the American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan for “having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.” The honor is awarded not just for a single piece of Mr. Dylan’s literary works but rather for the entire collection of his lifetime. Including his albums, Bob Dylan has also expanded his artistic talents to other mediums such as collections of poetry as well as his autobiography, “Chronicles“.

His notable Musical accomplishments include prestigious accolades ranging from his 11 Grammy’s, 1 Academy Award, and one Golden Globe. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Mr. Dylan’s talent’s weren’t just noticed by the Artistic Community but also on an International Level he got to meet Presidents & Kings. In 2012 he had received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama as well as the Polar Music Prize from Sweden’s King Carl XVI.
